Hi I’m Stephen Awuah, a 🇬🇭 software & protocol engineer based in Accra.
For the past four years I’ve built products across analytics, proptech, enterprise software, and now payment infrastructure. I work where product decisions meet hard systems constraints: money movement, permissions, observability, and distributed services.
I worked at Mensa Philosophical Circle, a technology company doing custom development, talent development, outsourcing and IT infrastructure, and then moved to Enyata, a custom enterprise software firm working across AI, blockchain and cloud — digital lending, savings and investment, and healthcare platforms among its work.
My current chapter is protocol engineering — payment primitives, trust boundaries, and agent-facing tooling that let software move money safely. Solana is the first settlement layer for ChainPay. I also build in public with Solana Ghana, a Ghana-first on-ramp for builders.
what i’m working on
ChainPay — the universal payment rail for AI agents: one MCP endpoint for policy enforcement, wallet authorization, routing, stablecoin settlement, and receipts. Solana is the first settlement layer. Give agents limits, not your keys.
HiveLabs — building Africa’s financial and property infrastructure through savings, flexible home ownership, and payments.
FlexDown — the operating system for real estate in Ghana: unified property management, verified listings, and transparent transactions.
current career life
My current focus is tokenisation and what has to be true off-chain for a token to mean anything on-chain: real-world assets, tokenised securities, stablecoins as a settlement asset, and what a token holder actually owns. I write from primary sources and separate confirmed fact from proposal, marketing claim, and my own opinion.
how i work
I like owning the full path from a sharp product question to the systems that make it real: protocol rules, APIs, developer tooling, deployment, and the feedback loop after release. I optimize for clear boundaries, measurable behaviour, and software that stays understandable as it grows.
