I’m Stephen Awuah, a developing protocol engineer from Ghana 🇬🇭, working where Solana, programmable payments, tokenisation and distributed systems meet. I founded FlexDown, built ChainPay’s policy-controlled Devnet and MCP payment flows, contributed to Chainlink open source, and wrote Token Economics from First Principles. I am also building Solana Ghana Community, where a campus introduction drew more than 40 members in a day and helped one of them into Solana Fall School.

- Solana Summer School, studying under Chaerin (@decentra1zed). [completed]
- Introduced Solana Ghana Community on campus at Wisconsin University College Ghana. Over 40 people joined in a day. [milestone reached; community ongoing]
- One community member gained admission to Solana Fall School and is progressing well. [outcome]
- Wrote Token Economics from First Principles, a 32-page book on token economics, payments, stablecoins, tokenised securities, RWAs and DvP. [completed]
- Built 100+ JavaScript projects in one year to master the language through repetition. [completed]
- Contributed to Chainlink open source. [completed]
- Shipped a working ChainPay MCP interface: compatible AI clients can inspect protocol configuration, discover mandates, validate signed payment requests and check payment requirements. [milestone reached; protocol ongoing]
- Implemented ChainPay Devnet flows with Solana payment-mandate accounts, SPL Token and Token-2022 assets, policy checks, deterministic payment references and receipt addresses. [milestone reached; protocol ongoing]
- Designed a 30-module Rust playground running from ownership and borrowing through async, channels, protocol framing, retries, idempotency, batching and observability to a distributed-systems capstone. [structure complete; learning ongoing]

- I founded FlexDown, a real-estate platform for Ghana. [ongoing]
- I am building ChainPay, a payment rail for AI agents: one MCP endpoint for policy enforcement, wallet authorisation, routing, stablecoin settlement and receipts, with Solana as the first settlement layer. [ongoing]
- I am building Solana Ghana Community as a Ghana-first on-ramp: learning tracks, builder routes, specialised teams and contribution-focused events. [ongoing]
- I am developing a curriculum that moves learners from programming and Rust foundations towards Solana protocol engineering — accounts, PDAs, CPIs, token programmes, testing, security and distributed-systems thinking. [ongoing]
- I am organising the Solana Ghana technical vision around four teams: Validators, Stablecoin and Tokenised Assets Sandbox, Agentic Payments, and Mobile and Consumer. [ongoing]
- I am developing a Stablecoin and Tokenised Assets Sandbox for safe experiments with Token-2022, stablecoin settlement, RWAs, tokenised equities, ownership records, transfer controls and DvP. [ongoing]
- I am working towards an Africa-hosted, community-backed Solana validator as Solana Ghana’s long-term flagship. [future milestone]
- I am exploring the design of NoirZeppelin, a ZK counterpart to OpenZeppelin for reusable Noir components. [ongoing]
- I am preparing a contribution to the Docker Moby engine. [ongoing]
- I am studying privacy-preserving and MEV-aware payment design through Umbral/UCTP: Token-2022 confidential transfers, commitments, replay resistance and transaction-information exposure. [research]

what did not work
- My third open-source contribution, submitted to Sablier Labs, was not accepted. It pushed me to study other codebases and go after Chainlink and Docker Moby instead. [not accepted; productive redirection]
